Anderson Garden

Project GoalOur school garden was created by the Sharefest organization about 10 years ago. We are so very grateful to Sharefest! Our garden is such a special place where we teach kids about science, math, and nature. Our students get to eat everything they grow, and they love it! Students benefit from planting seed and plants, and coming into the garden at recess to care for the plants. Our students are very dedicated to visiting the garden and learning. K-5 students enjoy lessons in the garden, and sampling all the produce. Our garden committee and the district master gardener will continue to maintain the garden, once the project is completed.
Location DescriptionThe location is Anderson Elementary School. The garden is a fenced part of the Lawndale School District. I am a teacher at Anderson Elementary.
